Members of the media are invited to cover Chris Hadfield's keynote address at the IMPACT! Youth Conference for Sustainability Leadership. He will share a truly unique perspective on the earth and society.  Chris Hadfield will have a media availability following the keynote address.

Hadfield has been called "the most famous astronaut since Neil Armstrong." He is the pioneer of many firsts: Canada's first fully-qualified Space Shuttle crewmember, the first Canadian to operate the Canadarm in space, the first Canadian to board a Russian spacecraft "Mir," the first Canadian to perform two spacewalks, and the first Canadian to command the International Space Station.

The 2014 IMPACT! Conference will bring together 175 university and college students from across Canada to hear from guest speakers and work with experts to develop real sustainability solutions for their campuses, communities, and current and future workplaces.

The IMPACT! Conference is produced by The Co-operators in partnership with 8 other academic, co-operative and non-governmental organizations.
