GUELPH, ON, February 10, 2023 – Co-operators announces a donation of $50,000 to the Canadian Red Cross Earthquake in Türkiye and Syria Appeal. The funding will go towards emergency relief to help those impacted by the earthquakes and support the Red Cross Red Crescent as it works to deliver immediate and ongoing recovery efforts in the impacted and surrounding areas.

“We are devasted to see the immense human suffering and damage caused by the earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria,” says Rob Wesseling, President and CEO of Co-operators. “The powerful images reflect the urgent need for humanitarian aid. Our purpose and values compel us to act in support of the relief efforts on the ground and we encourage other Canadians to contribute if they are in a position to do so.”

Co-operators $50,000 donation will be doubled through the Federal Government’s pledge to match all funds contributed to the Red Cross.
