MONTRÉAL, June 28, 2011 /CNW/ - In June, new bonds were forged between L'UNION CANADIENNE, Compagnie d'assurances and Peter Hall School, a Montreal school that serves students ranging in age from 4 to 21 years who have intellectual impairments, pervasive development disorders or psychopathological disorders, with or without associated disabilities.

Over the next three years, L'UNION CANADIENNE will donate a total of $30,000 to the Peter Hall School Foundation.

"L'UNION CANADIENNE is proud to support the Peter Hall School Foundation, making it possible to purchase two smart boards which will help the school's staff transition to more interactive teaching methods. Peter Hall School is a high-quality institution that we have been wanting to support for some time now, and I personally am very pleased to be able to announce this good news today," declared Mr. Ron Pavelack, Senior Vice-President of L'UNION CANADIENNE.

"Peter Hall School provides over 500 students with a motivating learning environment that enables each of them to develop at his own pace, and to reach his maximum level of accomplishment," added Mr. Jean Laliberté, President and Director General of Peter Hall School. "The support from L'UNION CANADIENNE will enable us to continue refining our teaching methods for the ongoing benefit of our students."
